Report: Robby Anderson Headed To Carolina

Top Flight Free Agent WR will reportedly sign with the Panthers

Earlier today, Manish Mehta of the Daily News reported that Robby Anderson was signing with the Panthers. The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport later confirmed this rumor and said that Anderson was signing a two-year contract with Carolina worth $20 million. Rapoport went on to say he will reportedly make $12 million in his first season with the team.

This means that the Jets will be losing one of their best offensive weapons from last year. In 2019, Anderson was second on the team in receiving yards and TDs, and he led the team in yards per reception. Only Jamison Crowder had more receiving yards and TDs than Anderson last year.

Anderson rejoins his college head football coach, Matt Rhule, who took over the Panthers’ job back in January. Rhule coached Anderson every season of his college career at Temple University. Anderson finished college with 16 TDs in 24 games played.
