Leon Rose has been named the new President of The New York Knicks effective immediately
Earlier today, Madison Square Garden Company CEO James Dolan announced that former sports agent Leon Rose will become the new President of the New York Knicks, effective immediately. At this time, the terms of the deal between Rose and the Knicks have not yet been released. As President, Rose will be in charge of all basketball operations and personnel on the team. This announcement comes less than a month after Steve Mills was fired as President of the team.

We are confident he brings the right combination of expertise and relationships to ensure the long-term success of our franchise.”
Leon Rose is familiar with the New York area. He is a native of Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Rose has spent the last 25 years of his career as an agent, representing some of the best basketball players in the world, including Joel Embiid, Carmelo Anthony, and formerly Allen Iverson and LeBron James. Leon Rose also served as a basketball coach at the high school level for three years and later at the college level for two years.
The Knicks are currently the 14th ranked team out of 15 teams in the Eastern Conference. They have posted an 18-42 record through 60 games this season.
