Coronavirus Update (Part Two)

Here are updates regarding the state of the NFL, NHL, and the NCAA

The NFL sent a memo to all 32 teams on Friday that told teams to stop hosting pre-draft visits at team facilities. The news was first reported by Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. The halt on pre-draft visits went into affect Saturday. The NFL is allowing teams to conduct interviews over the phone or through video conferences.

The NHL announced that the Hockey Hall of Fame and Museum in Toronto, Canada will be closed until April 6th due to Coronavirus concerns. The news comes one day after NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman paused the 2019-2020 NHL season. The league says that it still hopes to resume gameplay at an appropriate time.

The NCAA is reportedly planning to grant relief for spring student athletes for another season of eligibility. This decision comes one day after the NCAA elected to cancel the men’s and women’s division one basketball tournaments.
